Dr Joao Orestes S. Santos – Director of Exploration

Dr Orestes Santos brings to Redstone extensive experience and industry networks in South America.

Dr Santos is arguably the world expert on the geology of the Amazonian region. Prior to joining Redstone he held a very senior position in CPRM (Brazilian Geological Survey) for 33 years. He has been involved in several world-class discoveries, including Pitinga (Sn, bauxite), Sucuriju (Sn), Arari (K) and Fazendinha (K). He is also the premier expert on gold deposits of the region and has experience in nickel and copper exploration. Dr Santos manages exploration in South America and the West Musgrave Region.

Anthony Ailakis, B.Juris LL.B – Operations Manager

Mr Ailakis is a mining consultant who is a qualified lawyer and has almost 20 years in the mining and exploration industry in Australia and overseas.

Through his work in the Western Australian mining and exploration industry, Mr Ailakis has been involved in the development of constructive relationships with Aboriginal Land Councils and traditional owners and in the conduct of access and native title negotiations, as well as ground acquisition and matters relating to tenement management and Mining Act compliance.

Mr Ailakis has also been involved in the negotiation of commercial agreements relevant to the mining and exploration industry, in management and resolution of disputes relating to mining and exploration assets, as well as in the conduct of Mining Act litigation. He has also worked on exploration projects in New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

Peter Burger B.Sc, M.Sc, MAIMM – Geological Consultant

Mr Burger has been involved in mineral exploration both in Australia and overseas for more than 40 years.

He has led exploration teams exploring for nickel sulphides, nickel-copper sulphides and PGE's. His experience includes deposit evaluation, open cut and underground mining. Mr Burger also has extensive experience in tin exploration and mining and also nickel-cobalt laterite deposits.

Anthony Howland-Rose M.Sc, DIC, FGS, FIMMM, FAusIMM, FAIG, MAICD, C.Eng – Strategic Advisor

Tony has 48 years experience in exploration, discovery, development and corporate activity worldwide in the junior exploration sector. He holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Geology, Master of Science in Applied Geophysics and a Diploma of Imperial College in Geophysics.

Tony has been involved in over a dozen mineral discoveries, the most recent of which was the Avebury Nickel Project (Tasmania) for which he was co-recipient of the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC) Prospector of the Year Award in 2007. He was a Director and Chairman of Allegiance Mining NL from 1996 to 2008 and during that time presided over the discovery, drill out, financing and building of the $180 million Avebury Nickel Mine and processing facility. Tony has made a contribution to the following economic discoveries : Cape Horne Cu WCTas 1963; Mt Poseidon’s Mt Windarra NiCu PGM 1969; Elura (now Endeavour) ZnPbCu NSW 1972; Henty Au WCTas 1972; South Mt Keith “Cliffs”, NiCu WA 1977; Huangshan NiCu Xinjang Pr, PRC 1983; Sandy Flat Cu NT 1979 and Avebury Ni, WCTas 1998.

Mr Howland-Rose is presently the Executive Chairman of Gullewa Limited and the Chairman of Allegiance Coal Limited
